Boot Preserve

This 2.34 acre property located at 294 North Main Street was donated to the CCT on January 15, 2019 by 302 Main Street, LLC.

The Board voted to call the property The Boot Preserve, in reference to its boot-like shape. It is located just south of the Town-owned Barnes Wildlife Sanctuary.
Some of the boundaries are marked by stone walls. There are wetlands along the southern edge of the property. The property is wooded and very pretty, with many stone walls and ledge. There is no direct access from North Main Street, but the land can be accessed directly from the Barnes property.

As his Eagle Scout project, a local Boy Scout created a loop trail into the property from Barnes Wildlife Sanctuary and installed a bench at the far end of the trail with a view into the property.
